Summer Learning Journey ( Week 2 Day 2 Activity 3)

๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ…I Have a Dream๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ„

Hi bloggers, Pao is here๐ŸŽ…✌, today I am going to talk about Martin Luther King Jr and Rosa Parks. Martin Luther King Jr was a civil rights activist in USA. USA had laws that kept black and white people separated. Martin Luther King Jr wanted everyone to be treated in a normal way. Rosa Parks was another American civil rights activist. She is most famous for refusing to give up her seat on a bus to a white passenger. That was just a quick fact about Martin Luther King Jr and Rosa Parks. Let me tell you some more facts about Martin Luther King Jr and Rosa Parks.

1 . Martin Luther King Jr was the youngest person to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.

2.  Rosa Parks was active in politics, and she is a hero. She is known as the mother of the civil rights movement.

3.  There are over 730 streets in the United States named after Martin Luther King, Jr.

Those were some facts about Martin Luther King Jr and Rosa Parks. Did you know them? I didn't! Our task was to tell the problem and solution that Rosa Parks had. So here it is.

Rosa Parks was born in 4 February 1913 and she was like a normal kid. But her mum and dad decided to divorce and then Rosa Parks and her mum moved with her Grandparents. She grew up and one day, she went on a bus and sited down. But then the bus driver told her to move because a white passenger wanted to sit down. But Rosa Parks said know because she was tired to be treated unfairly. But then the bus driver sended her to prison.  She was accused for not following the law.  But there was another person named Martin Luther King Jr that refused to get on a bus to go around town. The buses started being empty, then they said that to do something. So then on December 20th 1956, Supreme court change the law because they said that Africans Americans can not be treated unfairly.

That was the story

Thank you for watching

  2. Ata Mฤrie Pao, I hope you’re having a groovy morning so far!

Thank you for completing week two, day two, activity three. I enjoyed reading what you’d learnt about Rosa Parks and you’ve put it into your own words really well. The treatment of African Americans in the USA breaks my heart...Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King were incredibly brave people weren’t they!? If they were alive today, what would be one question you’d like to ask them?

    Thanks for blogging,
    Eliza :)
