1. Put some water and fill it on half of the bottle

2. Put some flower inside

3.Put some glitter.

4. Add food coloring if u want to

5. Now fill the bottle, not completly.

6. Shake.

Then its done!

  1. Kia ora Pao, great to see you're being creative at home. This reminds me of a present a student got me once which was a lamp inside an old water bottle. What was the most challenging part of making it? Thanks for sharing the instructions so that other people can have a go!

  3. Awesome work, Pao!
I really like that lava lamp. It's great to see you doing expirements during lockdown. What coloured flower did you put in? I'd put in an orange one, the colour of lava. I love the fact you put red dye in it. It reminds me of fire, which I think is related to lava.

Make sure to keep on doing these fabulous blogposts. In your freetime you should try commenting on your friends blogs. Blog you later!!!

  4. Hi Pao, that sounds very interesting! What happened when you shook it? I was wondering about that. It would be good to show us what it looks like in the jar straight after you did that.
As term two goes along and you are doing your learning from home, it would be great to see more posts of your home learning. The ones you have shared so far, make me want to see more. Keep up the good work Pao.

  7. Hi Pao, this is a really cool idea - I used to love looking at my younger brother's lava lamp when we still all lived with my parents. His was green, it made me feel relaxed and calm. Did you choose red for a particular reason? Another idea might be to use (with your parents' permission) vegetable oil instead of water, you'll find this gives a different consistency to the liquid moving. It's great to see you being so active on your blog - keep up the awesome effort!
