Summer Learning Journey ( Week 1 Day 2 )

Up in the air🛬

Hi guys around the world🌎👈, today I am going to talk about Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. They both flew up in the air. They both flew solo ( Flew alone) in the air! That most be a pretty cool experience! They both were the first female people to fly solo up in the air! That was just a quick fact about Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. Let me tell you some facts about Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart.

1.  Jean Batten was born in 15 September 1909 and Amelia Earhart was born in 24 July 1897.

2.  Jean Batten became famous in the 1930's and Amelia Earhart became famous in  1928's.

3.  Amelia Earhart was an Author and a Aviator

Those were some facts about Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. Did you know them? I didn't! Our task was to do a google drawing that shows the difference of Jean Batten and Amelia.     Ka pai for doing all the aviator activity! What was your favourite part of doing this activity? I like how you’ve made a clear venn diagram and the information you’ve provided below about Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart was really interesting, thanks for sharing those facts! They were both pretty amazing women weren’t they!?

    Did you know that Jean would take a silk dress with her on her flights, so that she could look beautiful wherever she landed! I reckon that’s pretty cool and is definitely something I would do if I was a record-breaking aviator! :)

    Have you been on a plane before? If you have, where did you go? Do you think you’d like to fly on a plane if you had the chance to?

    To answer your question, I would love to be famous for giving every single girl and woman in the world a full education. Have you heard of Malala Yousafzai? She is an amazing Pakistani activist for female education and has even won a Nobel Prize for trying to achieve this goal!
