ReplyDeleteIt's Leslie here, writing to you from Canada as a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. I've just come in from outdoors where it's -10 C - brrr, it's cold! But it's beautifully sunny and so I quite like it. In fact, I now prefer our winter to our summer as our summers can be too too hot...
I hope you're having fun this summer both outside and inside as you participate in the SLJ program. I'm so glad that you've continued to work on the activities after Christmas. Good for you!
I agree with you that Dame Moncrieff's idea of creating art out of rubbish is an awesome one! I think your questions are very good - I suspect her answers would be very interesting to hear.
In question number 5 you ask if she was 'existed' to go to the event. I think you might mean to ask if she was 'excited' to go to the event.
I know that a friend of my daughter's has gone to WOW each year and she gets very excited about it. She says it's her favourite event because she just loves seeing what people come up with.
It's a wonderful thing when we use our imaginations to solve problems, isn't it?! We need to figure out how to reduce the amount of rubbish we produce and we need to figure out how to re-use as many materials as we can.
