  1. Hi Paolo,

I'm Leslie and I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team, reading your blog from my home in far off Canada. Unfortunately, we have air pollution in Canada too and so we have to figure out ways of reducing the amount of toxins that we release into our atmosphere, as you do. We have to know, too, that whatever pollution we produce can affect people on the other side of the planet, like you, and so all nations should be working together to solve this problem.

We can't always prevent pollution because, as you say, some is caused by natural things like fire. This past summer there was an absolutely huge forest fire in western Canada that resulted in smoke covering much of 2 of our biggest provinces for months. It was scary for people with breathing problems because they couldn't go outside without wearing a mask - not comfortable!! Our firefighters did their very very best but it took weeks to bring the forest fires under control because we had so little rain during the time, and the winds were really blowing hard. I'm just glad that there weren't a lot of people or farm animals hurt. There were alot of wild animals killed, however, or displaced from their forest homes. So sad!!

I hope you're having a good summer with just enough rain and just enough sun! I'll continue to enjoy reading your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie

  2. Hello Pao,
I am Vitaraag. I think air pollution is really bad. If we continue doing this stuff we probably won't be alive. I agree on most of t is because of humans. Maybe next time you can say how humans create air pollution. Keep up the phenomenal work!
