Summer Learning Journey

Hi guys, Today we were talking about the taniwha, and we had to say if we believe that the taniwha is real or if it is not. So today I am going to tell my opinion if is real or not.

I think the Taniwha it is not real because it is a water monster that is on the bottom of the sea. It is a monster of the Maori legend and It is like a kind of a story. I just think that because it is a story that it have been tell all over around New Zealand and so that is why I think the Taniwha is not real

What do you guys think?

Thank you for watching

Bye Bye Bye

  1. Hi Pao,

I'm Leslie and I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey program, reading your blog from my home in Canada. It's really interesting that the Maori have a legend or story about the taniwha because there are other places in the world where the same type of monster is said to exist too.

In Canada we have a story or legend about a different kind of 'monster'. Ours is called "Bigfoot" or "Sasquatch". It's a creature that has been 'seen' or reported to have been seen out in the mountains in western Canada. It's very big, hairy and usually silent. It's footprints are huge and there have been some photos taken of what are sure are Sasquatch prints - that's why it's called 'Bigfoot'. No one has ever gotten close enough to a Sasquatch to verify that it exist. So, who knows? There are those that believe in it and those that don't.

I see that you don't believe in the Taniwha, that you think it is a mythical figure, rather than a real one. Perhaps so.

I hope you're staying safe this summer, especially if you go swimming in the ocean or in a river. And I hope you'll keep working on the Summer Learning Journey program!!

I'll continue to read your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie

  2. Hello Pao,
You probably already know me Vitaraag. I defiantly agree with you but then what could be the video about the bubbles? There have been some cases of people seeing something in the river. That might be the taniwha. You have a strong point and you have put so much effort into this. Maybe next time you can say more reasons of why you think it is fake. Keep up the amazing work!
