Summer Learning Journey

Hi guys, Today we were talking about countdown, yes that shop that we buy things to make food or to eat food. We had to talk with a member of or family and they had to tell us what will they think about stopping 🚫 the plastic bags. On this situation I am going to tell my brother what does he think about this idea and this is what he thinks.

He said that it is a great idea liked that the planet does not pollute less.

I think this is a really good idea because the plastic goes to the ocean and it kills some ocean animals  and it is really sad, that is why I think it is a good idea.✅

What do you guys think?

Thank you for watching

Bye Bye Bye

  1. Hello Pao,
I am Vitaraag. I like how you also said your opinion. It is very sad that marine animals are dying because of plastic bags. I think it is also a good idea that they are stopping plastic bags. I think that now they have leather bags that you reuse and when it breaks they repair it for free. Do you think they made the right decision? Maybe next time you can say how marine animals are dying because of our plastic bags going in the ocean. Keep up the phenomenal work!!

  2. Kia Orana Paola,

You have provided your brother's opinion on Countdown's decision to stop supplying plastic bags. I agree that it is a great idea to help towards helping our planet become less polluted. I like the fact that you brought up how plastic bags can harm animals in our environment, you are right. It is really hard to see animals suffer at the hand of pollution amongst other things.

Perhaps next time you could provide some pictures of problems plastic causes to really hit home how serious this matter is. A lot of other supermarkets have followed suit, New World also no longer supplies plastic bags. They are continuing to sell reusable bags as well as paper bags. Why do you think they have decided to use paper bags?

Personally, I am pleased that plastic bags are being used less and less, they are not a necessity and they cause so much havoc to our world's wellbeing. It's a great thing to be rid of them!

Well done on completing another Summer Learning Journey activity Paola.

    Toe feiloa'i fo'i,

    Cia.
