Summer Learning Journey

Hi guys, Today we were talking about Machu Picchu. We had to tell what do we think about the new law that is that there will be a limit of people going to Machu Picchu.

I think it is a good law because the tourists have made damage on the area and it can cause lots of things so I think it is a really good law.✅ Maybe it will be unfair for some people but I think it is not unfair. What do you guys think?

    I think you are right it is fair but also unfair. By the way I am Vitaraag. I agree strongly with you. Maybe next time you can say some reasons why it isn't fair. Do you want to visit Machu Picchu? I certainly do Keep up the phenomenal work!

    Hello Pao,
    I like your opinion as it is very strong and definite. You are right that it has a lot of impact on our wildlife and on Machu Picchu. I also agree that it may be a bit unfair, but it's for the better. The new law is definitely a good one, don't you agree? Next time you can add a bit more information of what it can do to the environment.

    Talofa Paola,

    You have given us your opinion on the rule the Peruvian government has enforced on tourists being able to visit Machu Picchu. I agree that is fair because a lot of damage has been caused by masses of tourists walking on the fragile area surrounding Machu Picchu.

    Perhaps next time you could talk about what further damage may happen if tourists were allowed to visit Machu Picchu freely. What do you think would happen if there was no law to limit visitors?

    I think the rule is fair, the government has every right to protect a landmark that is of great importance to their culture and history of their people. In my opinion, it doesn't matter what tourists think as it is not their cultural history that is in danger. One day I'd like to visit Machu Picchu and view its beauty from a helicopter (if it was allowed).

    Keep persevering and working hard. :)
