Summer Learning Journey (Week 4 Day 4 activity 3)

Top Secret Street Art

Hi bloggers around the world🌍👈, today I am going to talk about Banksy. Banksy is a street artist from England. Banksy is very talented. There is a lot of amazing street art in the city of Christchurch. That was just a quick fact aboout Banksy. Let me tell you some more facts about Banksy.

1. When he started, his work was mainly done freehand

2. He has paited 20 arts

3. He claims his work is inspired by 3D a member of Massive Attack music band.

Those were some facts about Banksy. Did you know them? I didn't! Our task was to visit the Christchurch street art website and choose two pieces of artwork. We have to write the similar and difference of the two artwork that we chose. So here is mine.

Similar:
They are both people. They are both on a square. They both have black on their hair. They both have hair. They both have clothes.

Difference:
One of them have light colors and one of them have dark colors. One of them is a girl and one of them is a boy.

Thank you for watching

Bye Bye Bye😇

  1. Hello Pao,
Once again, I have met with another great blog post. It's amazing that you added facts when you didn't need to. I never knew that Banksy was inspired by a member of the Massive Attack music band. I like how you have chosen two very similar but different pictures. At first I though one of the pictures was black and white, but then I realised that it was just a grey back round and a gray spray paint. Did you realise that? Maybe next time you could add a few more similarities and differences. Overall, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!

  2. Namaste Pao,

I like the comparison you made between these two examples of street are. They are such awesome pieces of artwork, aren’t they? I like that you have made the point that one of them is painted using dark colours and one is with light colours so they’re like opposites! Is that how you choose to do these two?

I would be som interested to know how artists do their paintings - do you think they draw them first to see what the drawing will look like or do you think they just freestyle when they start?

Congratulations again on finishing the Summer Learning Journey. I hope you will spend some time commenting on other SLJ student work.

    Have a lovely afternoon,
    Kueni.

I really liked that you put a spot the difference in your blog post.
I learnt that Banksy claims his work is inspired by 3D a member of Massive Attack music band.
Maybe you could reread your writing before you post.
