Summer Learning Journey (Week 3 Day 3 activity 2)

Printing Prosthetics

Hi bloggers, Pao is here😇👈, today I am going to talk about Chuck Hull. Chuck Hull invented the first 3D printer. 3D printers print 3D stuff. For example, they can print gold, diamond, a car whell, even human parts! They print 3D stuff on a computer. They often use a material like plastic. 3D printing has changed the way we design and create things.  That was just a quick fact about Chuck Hull. Let me tell you some more facts about Chuck Hull.

1. He lives in Canyon Country, California, with his wife Anntionette

2. He has 1 sibling.

3. Chuck Hull invented the 3D printer back on the 1980's! WOW!

Those were some facts about Chuck Hull. Did you now them? I didn't! Our task was to watch a video about 3D printed. We have to include one thing that you learned from watching this video and one thing that surprised you when watching this video. This is mine.

I didn't know that 3D printers can make artificinal hearts! I mean a human organ heart!

I was surprised that the 3D printers are that advance that it can make human organs
!

Thank you for watching

Bye Bye Bye👀❤

  1. Ahiahi Mārie Pao,

Ka pai for sharing the information about what you learned and what surprised you from watching the video about 3-D printers in relation to printing prosthetics. I watched the video earlier this week and I learned so many new things, I too was shocked that 3-D printers could make artificial hearts that is so advanced.

Thank you for also sharing some information about Chuck Hall. I really like how you share some facts you have gathered about the activities before you respond, it helps to understand what you’re blogging about each day.

Did you know very much about 3-D printing or prosthetics before you did this activity today?

    Ngā Mihi,
