Summer Learning Journey (Week 1 Day 5)

Against the odds🏊

Hi bloggers around the world🌍👈, today I am going to talk about Sophie Pascoe. Sophie Pascoe is a New Zealand para swimmer. A para-swimmer means that is a swimmer with a physical disability. Sophie Pascoe has won many New Zealand and world para swimmer competitions, races, including the 9 Olympic medals she has won! Sophie is a great example that even that you have a physical disability, nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams. That was just a quick fact about Sophie Pascoe. Let me tell you some more facts about Sophie Pascoe.

1. Sophie Pascoe was born in  8 January 1993

2. Sophie Pascoe is the most successful New Zealand para-swimmer

3. Sophie's real name is Sophie Frances Pascoe

Those were some facts about Sophie Pascoe. Did you know them? I didn't! So our task was to share 3 things that are important to me and why they are important to me. So here are my three things that are important to me.

1. To be healthy

It is important to me to be healthy to live longer and to have a great live

2. Have fun

It is important to me to have fun because if I have fun, then my attitude level will go up and then I will be happy.

3. Pray

It is important to me to pray like that I can wish for a great day and tell more things to God.

Those are my important things.

Thank you for watching

Bye Bye Bye👧💖💗

  1. Kia ora Pao,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope you have been enjoying this holiday period and have had some happy moments with your whanau. I was lucky enough to get away with my son and spend some quality time with him and my immediate family. We spent a lot of time at the beach enjoying the beautiful sunshine. Have you been to the beach this summer?

I am always blown away when I visit your blog as you always put 110% into all of your activities. What I love reading is all the facts you include about the person the activity is based on. This is such a great idea, thank you for teaching us so much. Isn’t Sophie Pascoe inspiring?

It sounds as though you are very in tune with what is important to you and what makes you feel better. I agree that making everything fun and seeing the positive side to everything is important. You are bang on that this helps improve your attitude and your overall happiness. Have you ever tried smiling when you are grumpy? I find it amazing that this tiny little expression lifts my entire mood. You could even try it now and see if you feel a difference.

Keep up the incredible work Pao. I see that you have one more day left of activities before you finish the entire programme. Woohoo!

    You are a star,
    Megan :)
