  1. Hi Paolo,

Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team, reading your blog from my home in far-off Canada. It's great that you're choosing to participate in the program this summer - good on you!! I hope you're enjoying the activities!

I enjoy reading your blog. I love being connected to the other side of the world in this way. While you're having your daytime, I'm sleeping and while I'm sleeping, you're starting your day. And yet we can both be a part of the Summer Learning Journey - amazing!!

I see that you've decided to try Activity 3 in Week 3. Day 1 of the SLJ. Unfortunately, I don't think you read the task thoroughly before you started it. This activity asks you to write out each of the 5 'facts' that are listed and to type beside them, in capital letters, whether they are TRUE or FALSE. You have printed out just 3 of the statements and said "yes" or "no". For full points for this activity you'll have to try it again, ok?

I'll give you a hint too, that the 65 year old Australian lungfish is not the oldest fish in the world (you can look up the Greenland Shark) and that there are a number of deep sea fish that have eyelids so sharks are not the only ones that do.

So, please try this activity again and then you can earn more points. I'll check back soon to see if you've decided to do that.

Meanwhile, I hope you're having a lot of fun this summer, and I'll continue to enjoy reading your blog!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
